Love your Gloves
Here is a look at some recent work for Kombi Gloves. Working with my colleagues at Origin Design + Communications we worked on adding a ‘little sex appeal’ to the tried and tested brand of Kombi Gloves. The ‘Black’ feel is also a bit of an homage to the legacy of the ‘Black Kombi Glove’. Check out the ‘New Black’ at kombisports.com
Squamish Golf Photography
Hole #6 – Squamish Valley Golf & Country Club
In August I spent part of the day hanging around the Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club. The weather and course conditions were just right for some stock photography. A gallery of the best golf course photos can be viewed here.
While I am not a great golfer by any standard, I appreciate the game and enjoy spending my time on golf courses, whether playing or (more often) shooting. It is an understanding of the game that allows photos like the ones presented to show more than just the beautiful scenery found on golf courses but to tell a little something about playing the course. Golfers can appreciate nice photos from a golf course, but what they really like to look at are ‘Golf Photos’.
While a course has a ‘Signature Hole’, each other hole has it’s own ’signature’ and that’s what I look for in my photography, a mix of aesthetics and the challenge and allure of the game of golf.
Film Making in Squamish
We often see film crews between here and Vancouver. While I am not typically a Film Still Photographer, I happened upon a film crew while shooting stock photography in Squamish the other day.
Elmo, Alaska is actually Squamish BC. Here is Anne Heche and film crew working on an upcoming episode of the television series at the marina downtown.
It’s a Boy
Gus William Tucker was born 5:52 am on May 2, 2007 (on his Mom’s Birthday) at the Squamish General Hospital. Gus weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. He has blue eyes and a full head of brown hair. Mom and babe are healthy and we have a happy little family. Wilson was very excited to meet is new ‘brother’.
My Commute
Last week I posted about people stopping for photos on the Sea to Sky Highway on my Work Blog.
Today I stopped for a shot or two myself. Here’s one below:
